Youngbloods QLD calls bingo on Brisbane talent
Youngbloods Queensland will host a networking night for young, up-and-coming Brisbane professionals, to mix with heavy-weights in the advertising, media and communications industry this Thursday at Fringe Bar.
‘Bloody Bingo’ is based around the concept of a traditional bingo game with a networking twist, whereby attendees must introduce themselves to a person in each of the nine different industries listed on their bingo card.
The aim of the night is to give students and young professionals a chance to engage with industry heads who would normally be out of reach.
By hosting networking events for their peer-group, Youngbloods hopes to provide a platform for young people within the industry to challenge themselves alongside industry professionals in a social context.
Youngbloods Queensland chairperson, Tom Walter, said Bloody Bingo was the ideal environment for young people to meet like-minded movers and shakers, as well as stand out from the crowd: “In such competitive industries, our events give these young stars the opportunity they need to get ahead of the pack, and at the same time forge a path of their own,” Walter said.
“Last year’s Bloody Bingo was a huge success and we’re expecting this year to be even bigger and better with a great spread of professionals from creative directors, digital producers and media buyers to PR consultants.”
There is expected to be representation from some of Brisbane’s leading agencies including Clemenger BBDO, George Patterson Y&R, Publicis Mojo, Sapient Nitro and Junior.
Youngbloods Queensland have brought some impressive prizes to the table including an AdSchool workshop worth over $500 and an all expenses paid lunch with a notable professional of your chosen field.
Bloody Bingo will be held downstairs at Fringe Bar this Thursday, May 24 from 6:30pm. Limited pre-sale tickets can be purchased online for $15 or $10 on the door.
