Wunderman Sydney launches promo division
Wunderman Sydney has opened a specialist promotions division to capitalise on the growing opportunities in the promotional digital space.
The move follows the agency’s recent business win for Coke Unleashed.
Says Wunderman MD Jo Lloyd: “It quickly became apparent that promotions have become an intrinsic part of the digital landscape and can have significant impact on CRM and loyalty programmes. We’re finding that clients are keen to explore promotional opportunities outside of their traditional channels, particularly via member associations and partnership programs.”
The new Wunderman team is headed by Chris Yeo (above right) who has worked in the promotions field for more than 20 years in NZ, UK and Australia. Yeo has a wealth of experience working for major clients in non-traditional channels, including experiential, events, shopper marketing and branded entertainment.
Joining Yeo are Christine Watts (above centre) and Arianne Flintoff (above left).
Watts has had experience in the beauty, sporting and alcohol industries, including Pernod Ricard and more recently as promotions and branded events co-coordinator at Suntory.
Flintoff has worked with FMGC, alcohol, consumer electronics, motor and not-for-profit companies in Australia and the US.
Yeo said that the new team would initially manage the Coke Unleashed transition. He added: “We will then look at how other Wunderman clients can build an innovative and compelling promotional offer to drive engagement and purchase.”

Lucky W.
Ha ha. Look at those people having fun with the logo. Laugh out loud. I love it.
Is that the ‘W’ anchor from the good ship ‘Wunderman’?
Their next business division should be a photostudio for gay promo shots.
I was there on the shot and we had a great day. Great atmosphere and the crew really enjoyed themselves. Using that big ‘W’ is not as easy as you would think but lucky we had a break for lunch and worked late into the evening to get the shot. There were a few funny shots that won’t make the web but they will be a lot of fun at the Christmas party. Thanks to the make up girls and the whole crew. That includes you too catering. Delicious.
Lovely girls.
Hey…how good was Cadel Evans!
Its blurry
The “w” is really iconic. Great use of such an iconic icon.
The out of focus nature of the shot was an idea from the photographer. He said it would give the shot a more approachable feel.
This photography is making me to laugh
If you had three of them you could make BWM or BMW or BUUM
Note from the photographer. The underlying message they were trying get across In the photo was evolution. The W is the first letter in womb. And so life is moving through. The out of focus idea was last minute. I am very happy with the shot.
Fuck the photography.
What’s really amazing is that a company many more experienced people would position as being world famous for pioneering ‘direct’ consumer communications, should suddenly have it occur to them that ‘promotions’ was the way of the future.
Out of the mouth of babes….
Are you alright 10.48. We spent a lot of time and effort on that photographic shoot to get the right image to promote the new venture. And you just push it aside. There seems to be a lot of interest in the photo on this thread so back off. Take a chill pill sonny Jim.
I’m sick of this shit – While the photographer typically talks up her intent and execution. This shot has got nothin’ without dynamic angular artistry.
I am the centre of this universe! Everything else is just dressing.
Thanks W. You are the new A.
ha ha. Very funny comments. And they are so funny because this promo shot is really really shit. (Sorry, I was twitching. Needed to spell this one out before I moved on with my life)
It was lots of fun. See you at the next silly promo shot.
