Which is the hottest ad agency in Australia?
Campaign Brief thinks the hottest agency in Australia is Clemenger BBDO Melbourne – but what do we know?
Our first poll used up our ration of 200 votes – which was won by Clemenger BBDO Melbourne with 46% of the vote. Our second poll had 500 votes, won by Leo Burnett Sydney with 65% of the vote.
So we’ve started yet another – this time with 500 votes to give more bloggers a chance to vote. So far, with 243 votes cast, GPY&R Melbourne on 35% is ahead of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne on 30%, with The Monkeys on 11%. Pick your favourite from our list of contenders: VOTE HERE

No poll at all displaying for me…
While on the topic of trialing widgets, how about a simple thumbs up or thumbs down option for each new ad PR’d on the site, combined with some sort of ladder to keep track over time. Just a thought.
Mobile user, it’s working now.
Try again.
Great idea Dave. Michael?
On your chart you have US Sydney as third hottest and JayGrey as Fifth.
These guy don’t get a shot in your poll.
Also, while on the chart, how can Leo’s be as big as TBWA in terms of billings? They are about half the staff.
And one question, what exactly have saatchi Sydney done to get that spot!
Hottest ad agency in Australia? The one with the most staff voting.
Dave, I’d also add a thumbs up / thumbs down mechanism on every comment.
its too low-res… can’t read, can’t read…
Yeah, Leo’s have less than half the staff nos of TBWA. How’d they get that far up the billings axis?
How is Saatchi & Saatchi there?
In the last year I’m pretty sure they have won a single award.
And I know some of the companies behind them have definitely won a lot:
Leo Melbs
Droga 5
GPY&R Melb
TBWA
Actually, trying to think what Droga5 have won but there must be something?
… As always the talk is about the well established big boys… Look at some of the agencies that are small in billings, small in staff but are in the red… Some I have never heard of before, they must be doing somthing right?! But if we must… Go monkeys.
Half the numbers, maybe they’re twice as good? And why is Whybins there anyway?
The campaign palace Melbourne $100 M sector. What, they have less than half a target client.
Funniest thing I have read all year,
And by the way, they belong in the ice cold blue section as nothing original out of that creative department for some years.
I think the billings on most of these are way out of whack.
Same with some of the creative placements.
Disagree with the Whybin comment, I think they should be further right.
Same with Leo’s melb. They should be further right.
D4.99 further left!
Where is McCann’s? Surely they are right up there?
Whybin’s have great billings but the work is ordinary.
Scott has a clear out every five years.
So I guess they’ve got 3 years to address the balance.
I don’t think their work is any less ordinary than some of the ones in front.
Particularly Droga5 and DDB.
The Scott call is classic – there’s been a lot of people who have tried in that place, the list must be bloody long.
Clem’s is heads and shoulders in front yet look dead even to the monkeys?
Campaign Palace Sydney in front of BWM?
Does this go off awards one or the general balance of work overall?
Didn’t BWM score at Cannes last year?

How can Euro be that high on the hottness and billings axis? Word is the MD resigned because there was no work for her. They have less than half the staff they had last year. Lost Pernod Ricard. Reckitt Benckiser gave all the digital work to Holler.
So this is how they decide this thing – Very scientific. Why not use sheep’s intestines?
I dont know if Scott clears out because of creative work – look where Melbourne is!
Would be a bit rich to say, see ya boys, not up to my standard!
That said though, I think Melbourne are going to do some good things, got some got people in there, just need a bit of time.
When I worked at Leos the air-con was never working – very hot indeed.
Leo Burnett Sydney!
Ha ha guess who’s been clicking like a mad man trying to sway the votes.
Lynchy, yet again you come up with a genius ego related mechanic.
Power to you Leo Burnetts Sydney! Congrats!
I’d never want to work there…
Where’s Big Red? Surely one of the hottest.
You should rename this poll ‘which agency is desperate enough to get the entire office to vote for themselves’
Big Red is king of the Colds – just the way they planned it. Singo would approve.
Would love to know ‘which ad agency in Australia is the best to work for’ ..
as long as it’s not Tbwshit I don’t really care
Tbwshit?
Anger is showing dude
No BWM? BMF are a mess, Palace are a joke…sort your poll out
Would love to know ‘which ad agency in Australia is the best to work for’ ..
Great question.
It seems everyone I talk to is resigned to working for an agency that makes their money through working them 300%, with no real further education.
I think the ad agency culture should be more prominent in this decision.
