creative spirit 1.jpgTonight on Mamamia TV (Sky News at 9.15pm), Marianne Bess, managing director of Droga5, talks about the Creative Spirit program.

Launched just two weeks ago at the Caxtons, the program aims to have every creative company in Australia (nearly 32,000) employ or trial a person with a disability by the year 2021.

Says Bess: “The response to the program has been overwhelming – both locally and internationally. We have nearly 40 companies already on board here in Australia, and requests to be involved from the US, UK, Asia and Europe.”

David Nobay, Droga5’s creative chairman, adds:  “There’s a lot of pressure on all of us in the

creative community right now. On a bad day, that translates to bitchiness and insecurity. But

there’s a tangible creative spirit that connects all us. The reaction to this idea from all over Australia, and even the world, is proof the spirit’s still very much alive.”
