They are taking the “Share a COKE” campaign to “worldly” new heights by asking Australians named Matt to help them set a Guinness World Records title.

Anyone with the first given name Matt who registers online and comes to MCG on Day 3 of the Vodafone Boxing Day Test (28 December), will receive two FREE tickets for them and a mate if they participate in the attempt.

Coca-Cola and Cricket Australia aim to fill four bays in the MCG with at least 1,100 Matts for

the attempt, which is being undertaken as part of the ‘Share a COKE’ campaign encouraging

people to share a COKE with their friends and loved ones.

Now, Coca-Cola is putting the spotlight on Matts and encouraging them to share a COKE with their mates at the cricket whilst attempting to break the record for the Largest Same Name Gathering.

“Matt is one of the most popular names in Australia. This is a great opportunity for Aussies to

catch-up with a Matt, participate in a Guinness World Records attempt and enjoy a fun day at

the cricket with their mate,” said Lucie Austin, marketing director, Coca-Cola South Pacific.

Matts will need to register with Coca-Cola and Guinness World Records at 7am on Day 3 of

the Vodafone Boxing Day Test outside gate 5 of the MCG with a valid photo ID.

Matts will then enter the stadium in an attempt to break the current record for the Largest Same Name Gathering, which stands at 1,096 Mohammads, achieved as part of the Dubai Shopping Festival in 2005.

Mates will enjoy the pre-match entertainment outside the venue and then join the Matts once

the attempt is complete. Matts and mates will then enjoy one of the year’s biggest Test

matches in a specially zoned section within MCG compliments of Coca-Cola and Cricket

Australia.

So c’mon Australia, if you know a Matt, Matthew, Mateus (or are one) help make history – find

a Matt and get involved.
