Brilliant Films announces partnership with Auckland-based Waitemata Film Company
Brilliant Films has announced a trans-Tasman partnership with Auckland-based Waitemata Film Company.
Brilliant, known for its boutique yet comprehensive roster, has added 2 Waitemata directors to the roster, enabling them to pitch on a broader range of scripts that now includes fashion, food, beautiful models, fast cars and real people.The partnership boosts the rosters of both companies.
Says Brilliant EP Stephanie Ceccalidi: “We’re excited to welcome these dynamic new directors to the Brilliant roster, and equally excited to establish a Kiwi home with the widely respected Waitamata Film Company.”
The two directors are:
Jamie Campbell: Jamie Campbell is a British director now living in Auckland with his Kiwi wife. His commercials have been nominated for BTA and BTAA awards. He has made commercials for, amongst others, DDB, AMV/BBDO, M&C Saatchi, Ogilvy, WCRS, RKCR/Y&R and Glue.
Says Campbell: I’m into performance, satire, comedy and realism.”
Mike Oldershaw: Mike Oldershaw graduated from Victoria University with a degree in theatre and film. He wanted to act but then realised he also liked to eat. Since moving into directing, Odershaw has worked on campaigns for Nestle, Telecom, NZ Police, Sanitarium, BP, Dominion Breweries, Fisher & Paykel, Coca-Cola Amatil, McDonalds, MZ Lotteries, Ford as well as many others.
He loves creating and developing strong characters for storytelling/performance based scripts.
These two join Brilliant’s established roster of Eden Diebel, Luke Doolan, Christopher Ferguson, Eric Hillenbrand, Henry Mason, John Polson, Lee Rogers and Brendan Young.
