Representative of New Republique, Nima Yassini said they are excited by the addition of the pair. Says Yassini: “Mark comes from a traditional mathematical background and has never worked in advertising. We believe this is the only way we will grow our industry, by bringing new fresh thinking and perspective into our work.”

Nelsone graduated from University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Science majoring in Mathematics and a Masters in Business Commerce.

Over the coming months, Jones will be working closely with the New Republique creative team and creative chairman Dan Gregory,  to re-position the brand’s creative product.

Having much success in the digital space since 1995, Jones has worked at some of the most recognised agencies across the globe. His experience extends across an impressive list of brands including Subaru, McDonald’s, Macquarie Bank, Toyota, Lexus, Louis Vuitton, Sony Playstation, Daimler Chrysler, Panasonic, and Hewlett Packard.

His list of achievements includes a Cannes Silver Lion for the Earth Hour ‘Future is Manmade’ campaign, an ADMA Award and a Webby Award.

Says Jones: “I’m excited to be joining such a forward think team, filled with immense talent. I’m impressed with the calibre of clients and projects coming on board, and can’t wait to further challenge myself with New Republique.”

The duo will work across all client teams, with a focus on UWS and NAB. The addition of Jones in creative and Nelsone in data is what New Republique need to bring its model of Creative (magic) and Data (logic) together.

Says Yassini: “Too long have we separated data and creative, these two hires will help us re-define what we are calling internally, empirical creativity.”
