Many in the industry will be saddened to hear of the passing of Wayne Tregaskis, who died on Thursday following a boating accident.

Many will remember Tregaskis from his days as public affairs and marketing executive at Qantas in the early 90s, or later, during his five years as a group account director at George Patterson Bates, Sydney where he looked after the NSW Tourism business. From 1999 to 2000 he had a brief stint as a partner at fledgling digital agency Hothouse.

In 2002, Tregaskis co-founded worldnomads.com and ran his own Sydney-based PR and marketing business S2i Communications, which specialised in the travel, aviation and tourism sectors.
