beer economy? really? titanium?!
my god these awards really are a bit of a joke
Go beer economy
6 out of 10 jurors American based. Sure shows in the results.
Genius panel selection Cannes.
go titanium tules!
Up until now I’ve watched the results of Cannes and remained silent but really, questions do need to be asked.
There have been some pretty ordinary things collect metal, plus things that have bordered on scam, and things that have seemingly picked up in the wrong category.
Some of these have been from Australia and NZ. Some have not.
What have award shows become?
What about the controversy with the print Grand Prix getting stripped only hours before the ceremony and replaced by another winner! Apparently it was stripped because the Mexican agency entered it back in 2008, where it failed to even make the cut. And then, only two years later, it wins Grand Prix.
Just illustrates how ‘hot and cold’ award shows can be. Or, as I spotted on another blog:
“So, it didn’t even make the cut in 2008, but was going to take out the Grand Prix this year. Therefore:
A. This year is of a particularly low standard
B. All award shows are just a lucky dip
C. All of the above”
I thought beer economy was entered by a different agency years ago?
Good to see worthington fly the bbdo flag! Well argued.
support scent is a great idea.
