Tractor to run digital design course in Sydney this October – no coding experience is required
Tractor has announced the arrival of its new Digital Design course to run alongside its Graphic Design course in Sydney this October.
This new course has been created to give talented graphic designers the opportunity to learn specialised digital skills to respond to an area of design that’s growing every day in both creativity and job opportunities while remaining largely misunderstood by the design education system.
No coding experience is required. Digital designers aren’t programmers. If you’re interested in designing amazing groundbreaking solutions, but the thought of coding all day scares you, don’t worry, its not part of the job description.
The course is suitable for junior designers or recent graduates with a strong design aesthetic and skills in graphic design who are looking to acquire specialised digital design and interface design skills.
The course looks at designing for web, mobile, social media, display advertising and explores experimental interface design.
Whilst the execution is digital, Tractor’s studio ready practical teaching essence remains – studio skills, strategy, branding, client presentation and industry connections are still core to the course structure.
Each course at Tractor grants one scholarship to encourage students to work their hardest.
The scholarship is chosen by an industry panel and is awarded at the completion of the course with the winner receiving a full refund of their fees.
The application process is based on portfolio interview and is open to designers with a minimum of one year’s experience in a traditional design course. Spaces will be offered only to the top 12 designers in any course.
The next two 10 week part time courses run from October 11 to December 15.
Sessions are held from 6-9pm two nights a week and are held in the Sydney CBD. Our courses are taught by leaders from the design industry and practicing senior designers and creatives.
