Clemenger Group launches 2012 ‘Seven Brains’ graduate programme to secure the best talent
The Clemenger Group continues its quest for an unfair share of the best talent with the launch of its drive for the 2012 ‘Seven Brains’ graduate programme, with applications opening this Monday 25 July 2011.
In its sixth year, the programme selects standout graduates from all over Australia to rotate through several award-winning Clemenger communications companies across both Sydney and Melbourne.
Seven Brains is a unique programme offering graduates the opportunity to experience diverse
Clemenger companies across public relations, advertising, digital, direct, experiential, healthcare and shopper marketing disciplines.
The programme is designed to broaden graduates’ understanding of the industry and to help pinpoint a passion. Upon completion there is the prospect of a full-time position within the Clemenger Group for each graduate.
Grace Kluver, 2011 Seven Brains graduate, said the programme has been an amazing opportunity to kick-start her career: “As a graduate, the opportunity to get a foot in the door in media and communications doesn’t come often. To work for Australia’s largest and most successful group of communications companies is an especially rare and invaluable opportunity.”
The Clemenger Group has enjoyed a run of successes in 2011, capped by a Cannes Grand Prix for NAB’s ‘Breakup’ campaign and its third consecutive Campaign Brief Agency of the Year title. The network has also enjoyed a run of new business wins over the past 12 months, including Virgin Australia, Hungry Jack’s, Foxtel, The Salvation Army, Pacific Brands, BlackBerry, Johnson & Johnson Baby, the International Film Festival and Australia Post’s direct marketing work.
Tim Parker, executive director, diversified marketing services said Clemenger encourages
applicants from any academic discipline: “What makes the communications industry unique and ever evolving is the electric mix of people who work within it. We’re after people who stand out from the crowd. The only mandatory is a curious, driven and creative mind,” Parker commented.
Applications close Friday 9 September 2011 at 6pm EST, with interviews taking place mid-
October and the lucky few to be informed shortly after.

I am glad Clemenger gives this kind of opportunity to fresh faced grads. More agencies should have programs like this.
