Terrible. Lacks any empathy, or even sympathy.
Nice approach to a tough category, even if it’s a bit twee.
we give you time – and a big deep hole

First time I have ever posted a link, but this is pretty similar, and I would bet my life it was used as a reference.
Shot really well. Credits?
It made me think about life slipping by. Great spot. Beautifully art directed.
What does ‘We give you time’ mean?
Not being funny or anything, think the ad is okay, just not sure what it means.
More time to make the arrangements, i.e. more time in our fridges? More time to pay the funeral off? Longer funeral services?
Seriously, honestly, what does it mean?
Nice. Well executed. Idea sound in the toughest of briefs. Only negative is that the client could not have afforded to pay for this. Ever heard of them? Thought not . Who paid and who was squeezed to work for free? Tut tut.

A whole life crammed into 20 seconds and then a line saying the celebration of life can’t be rushed.
Looks like the creative was hell bent on using that execution regardless of the contradiction it has with the strategy.
Lovely but stupid.
Great. You can start by giving me back my 30 seconds then.
I think I’m in the target audience. I still don’t get it.
It probably doesn’t matter how well it’s made or what it says , this is a service you
only use a couple of times in your life , [ thankfully ]. So by the time you get to
use it do you think there is any chance of remembering the brand at the end of the spot. I suggest not , dare I say , dead money.
Commenting on the execution rather than the category (and we’re all the target audience by the way – can’t escape death or taxes), this is sensitive, evocative and beautifully executed. How quickly does life pass us by? Blink and it’s gone. Remember when you were 5? How long ago does THAT seem. For a funeral home to take the time to understand my life during their necessary exposure to it – rather than serving up “the usual” as I was offered for my grandfather’s funeral – gives me comfort. And that’s what this ad is all about.
Simple, nice, memorable. Certainly lush production for a small brand, though I think its a category with a lot of fat (!). Anonymous – what’s not to get? Anonymous – if you want your 30 sec back, you could’ve saved another 20-30 by not commenting.
Average. Still it’s a he’ll of a lot better than the Pokie tax shite they did.
From a very early age we are taught that top of mind brand awareness is the key to marketing success, for all it’s warm and fuzzies this ad fails because it doesn’t understand the unique category it is in, branding is essential, now correct me if I am wrong but only one funeral brand comes to mind , Simplicity , now doesn’t that say it all.
