The Adelaide Advertising + Design Club launches new Award system with AGDA and Adstream
This week the Adelaide Advertising and Design Club has launched a new awards system to its members. The AADC instigated a collaboration between its partners AGDA and Adstream that sees the club adapting to the ever-changing communications landscape.
Says Marty Pepper, AADC treasurer and life member: “We have taken AGDA’s state-of-the-art, fully electronic awards system, expanded it to suit our broad range of disciplines and then “powered” it by integrating Adstream’s world class secure delivery and storage platform. The result is a bespoke system that caters for our needs perfectly.”
AGDA is the peak national organisation representing the Australian communication design industry, with more than 2,600 members distributed throughout the creative, visual communications, applied design and technology sectors.
Says Shane Keane, AGDA SA president: “The AGDA system was tailor made to the needs of our members. Nic (Nic Eldridge, AGDA CEO and Director) and I knew it could be repurposed for another awards show and were really keen to work with the AADC to make that happen.”
Says Anna Bardsley-Jones, co-president, AADC: “Our partnership with AGDA allowed us insight into their purpose built system and what we saw was what we needed. Being design heavy it just lacked the power we needed to hold our video and sound content. Adstream has been a long-time supporter of the club so, they jumped on board instantly.”
Adstream are an ad workflow, management and cross-media distribution provider with 500 employees and offices in 30 countries worldwide. Their powerful applications and intuitive user interfaces create elegant connections between people, systems, and destinations with 24/7 dedicated support staff.
Says Georgie Charlish, commercial director Australia: “Adstream is thrilled to be partnering with the AADC this year by integrating our video platform technology to help store, search, play large video content to help with the judging process with this year’s annual awards.”
Hand picked from the top creative minds nationally, and internationally the AADC’s calibre of judges has always been excellent. The system promises to offer them a better viewing and user experience that will save them valuable time in processing results.
The AADC upholds a reputation for being one of the best creative shows in the country, showcasing the best work from the Adelaide advertising and design industry. The 39th annual AADC Awards is now open to it’s current members and Awards will be held at the Adelaide Town Hall on Thursday 17 November.
