Tequila\Sydney creates website that turns your tweets into beats in new campaign for Red Bull

Campaign Brief 244.pngTequila\ Sydney has built a website that turns your tweets into beats, allowing anyone online to participate in the fun.

Last weekend Red Bull held the Beat Suite event; a live mix tape style of concert, breaking down the boundaries between different music genres and mashing them all together for a one off event. Two soul singing sensations, five DJ beat makers and turntablists, and the hottest young orchestral talent collaborated with one genius composer.

Campaign Brief 245.pngWhat happens when music from the Red Bull Beat Suite concert is then sampled to translate the sound of your tweets? You get Beat Suite Tweets – a website that takes your personal tweets and turns them into beats.

Using a complex server-side algorithm, the website examines the words and sentences of every tweet. With a ‘sentiment analysis’ code built in, the site then distinguishes any sentimental words found to determine overall whether it was a happy or sad tweet. And based on the sentiment, appropriate Beat Suite samples will replace your tweets with incredible sounding beats. You simply type and listen. You can even influence the beat by adding over a dozen hash tags such as #bass, #noise, #violin or #dubstep.

So whatever mood you’re in or whatever you have to say, you can now hear your thoughts turned into beats. Then share your beats with the world via Facebook and Twitter.
