Yeah, but the beauty of the originals was that it was all done in camera, right?
Why not do it in stop motion like the originals? That would be special, as the original ads were.
Too easy to do it in CGI these days and it just looks CG.
Sculpted.
Stop motion is so, like, 80’s. Who’s got the patience these days to film grain of rice by grain of rice? Not me. I’ve got the attention span of a…oh, THAT looks interesting!
It’s a real shame they didn’t do this in camera.
Not sure saying you don’t have the patience to do something really well is something you should be bragging about.
Sweet.
The years-ago original looked real and quite appetising, even though it was just plain white rice.
This is mediocre animation of what looks like mud.
Yuk.
Blackley would turn over in his Hawaiian shirt.
Charming and appetising are so 80s. Let’s try for boring and making the food look like shit this time. Literally. That’s far more contemporary.
5:13, Not Blackley, Dick Greenlaw was the man in Sydney.
Just to make it clear, 5.13 was referring to DON Blackley who is David Blackey’s nephew and wrote the Sunrise Ads while working in Clemenger Sydney. Don’t know what happened to him – you out there Don?
This is truly shameful. If summer is going to be defined by this heinous piece of shite and then sprinkled with a bit of that Aerogard horror, then I am moving to England. And I HATE England.
