Suncorp promotes Farm Management Deposit Account in new campaign via GPY&R, Brisbane

The problem with running a farm, or agribusiness, is that you’re at the mercy of Mother Nature. Some years are great, others are terrible. But with a Suncorp Farm Management Deposit Account, you can put money aside from a good year to be ready for the bad, and earn steady interest throughout.
GPY&R, Brisbane used rural-related imagery, including events that can affect a farmer’s livelihood i.e a dry riverbed, to show how an FMDA can help farmers through the ups and downs of their business.

Simple. Good.
I’d say these are an instant classic (if they haven’t been done before)
Very, very nice.
Wow. Nice work in the Rural space can be done. Good copy, good art direction. Well done Brissy
Nice work Justin and GPYR kids!
“Wow” indeed. Super nice.
really nice work Patts peeps, kudos
How old are these? I thought they picked up at the Brisbane awards, which would make them (now) at least 9 months old?
Still, fuckin’ great work for a hard sector.
damn! nice.
Been done before, how about coming up with something original guys.
Done for Accenture years ago
everything’s been done
The whole problem with financial advertising is that agencies fail to solve the client’s problem or communicate insights which resonate.
Too often lazy communication or communication engineered for award shows manifest themselves in executions that follow formulas like, ‘just as so too’, ‘analogies’, ‘swapsies’ and visual gags.
Sorry this works no maturity or understanding of the problem at hand. The only thing it seems to be geared too is a BAD agenda.
World class.
Disappointed you are a wanker and you are wrong.
Back to your Land Sale Catalogue.
Oh, Disappointed. I’m sure your wife/significant other is.
The fact that your comment makes little grammatical sense, I’m willing to overlook. But how can you suggest that the campaign shows no understanding of the problem at hand? I’d say it illustrates the insight very simply and powerfully.
Within two seconds, I understand that this is a financial product offering a solution to the unpredictable nature of agribusiness. Bingo.
Not an easy proposition to convey, but done so with skill, intellect and insight. A real ad to a real brief, which just happens to be beautifully art directed.
Whoa, whoa, whoa…”well done Brissy”. What’s that supposed to mean ‘It Can Be Done’, you fucking condescending prickt? Brisbane agencies are as qualified and capable as any city’s to generate decent work like this. Maybe more so because they’re out of the arm-wrestling shit-storm that is Sydney or Melbourne. And no, I’m not in Brisbane.
Someone just HAD to bring up the whole Brisbane creative capability bit again.
Who cares where it comes from. It’s good. Move on.
Hey ‘wait a second’ you dopey prickt! If you read the comment it was about a nice approach in the difficult category of financial services in the agri space where most ads are pretty ordinary. It was not about at last Brisbane has done something good you dope. No wonder your probably in a second rate job, you can’t read and understand
I interpreted “Nice work in the Rural space can be done…” to imply that nice work for the agricultural market/rural audience can be done.
I’m willing to bet that 9.56AM was paying the ‘Brissy’ guys a genuine compliment rather than have a cheap shot.
It Can Be Done, feel free to clarify.
As for 1.08AM, chill out whoever you are. By the sounds of it your blood pressure is way too high.
Nice ads Thommo and Gowie.
Nice suiting Sarah.
Absolutely ‘just saying’. It is rare you see nice work in this category. So it was a big pat on the back for the Patts guys in Brisbane.
I agree 1:08 needs to take a big chill pill, or stop drinking that cheap red wine.
I’ve always loved this idea, still do, even though it was done eight years ago!
Really nice work guys. Simple and powerfully resonant. You’re doing some lovely work for this brand 🙂
I like it.
