STW’s Moon Communications Group promotes Maryjane Aviles to client services director role
STW’s Moon Communications Group, Sydney has appointed Maryjane Aviles as its new client services director, to oversee all of Moon’s clients and manage its account service team.
An experienced marketer who brings a wealth of both agency and client-side experience to the role, Aviles first joined Moon in March this year as client services director for HTC.
Her promotion to client services director across all clients is effective immediately, and she replaces Chris Laws who vacated the role last year after being promoted to general manager.
Before joining Moon,Aviles was senior manager, global marketing & product management for American Express. In this role, she was responsible for premium corporate cards in the Asia Pacific region, reporting directly into New York.
Says Moon’s CEO Anouk Darling: “Maryjane has been providing organisations and major brands with strategic advice for 16 years, and she has an incredibly strong background in strategic marketing, brand, product management and communications.
She brings a wealth of client side marketing smarts with particular affinity to global brands. I know she will be of huge value to both the Moon team and our growing client base.”
Darling said Aviles had particular industry expertise within the financial services, IT&T, media and entertainment, conservation and tourism sectors. She said her new role would focus on managing Moon’s growing number of international and local accounts, and its experienced account service team.
It is not the first time Aviles and Moon have worked together; Aviles worked with Moon while at BT Financial Group on the design of a new brand. This led to several awards: the 2004 Australian Graphic Design Award, Pinnacle award for Best Corporate Identity, and again two years later for Environmental Design.
