The animated TVC was produced as part of the “Switch to Frank” campaign and targets consumers looking to make the move from their current insurer to a cheaper, simpler alternative.

“GMHBA came to Sputnik Agency with the desire to redefine the category, and this led us to create Frank – the no B.S. health insurer,” said Ed Carveth, executive creative director of Sputnik Agency.

“The new TVC uses this ‘no B.S.’ style to firmly position Frank as an obvious alternative to a viewer’s current provider – one that is upfront about who it is, has easy to understand products and has a bit of fun along the way.”

The current Switch to Frank campaign consists of TV, radio, search and a dedicated microsite focusing on the benefits of switching to Frank Health Insurance and offering a 10% discount on first year policies.

“The Frank story is a great example of Sputnik’s integrated capabilities, with us having developed the brand from scratch and extending this to a full e-commerce website, outdoor campaign, electronic direct marketing, radio, online banners, direct member communications and now TVCs,” said Steve O’Farrell, managing director of Sputnik Agency.

Troy Sheahan from Frank Health Insurance said that the organisation was delighted with the work that Sputnik had done on the campaign: “Sputnik has made sure that who Frank is and what it stands for comes across in the TVC – simple, low cost and different to others out there,” said Sheahan.

“We feel that the end product really stands out from the crowd and will encourage Australians that are unhappy with other health insurers to make the switch to Frank.”

The spots will screen on Channel 10 and One HD.
