South African production company Frieze Films recently produced 10 spots in five days for Foster’s Lager viaLeo Burnett Chicago.
However, it wasn’t shot in Australia, as US viewers would no doubt believe. The ever versatile Cape Town doubled as 10 Australian locations.
The ‘How To Speak Australian’ campaign will roll out across the USA throughout the year. South African-owned SABMiller acquired Australia’s Foster’s Group in September last year.

What the fuck
Lynchie. I’m tired of clicking a link and then taken to another site. Can’t you build in some functionality that when clicking a link it opens another tab instead of taking you away from CB? So frustrating.
Oh and the Fosters campaign is shit. Digging up all the old cliches. Yawn.
its shit. as per usual when an overseas director directs aussie TVCs. why are we celebrating an overseas director shooting an iconic australian brand in South africa? wouldn’t you keep that under wraps?
@ Bitch 1:35 – Just hold down the “command” button when you click.
Thanks for nothin’ SAB Miller. Will you do the same thing with the next VB and Carlton Draught campaign, and shoot that in South Africa too?
These are bad. Like really fucking bad.
They just fall down so hard, the flamin’ galahs behind these need a good kicking. Drongos.
Leo Burnett at their best again.
