Well, at least this is more original than the winning film.
It’s still shite though.
FAIL.
Strategy is alright, but it needs the creatives to bring it to life.
So why does it have to be so literal? it’s boring. why do the situations have to be so dull? Why wasn’t he kidnapped by aliens? Or being seduced by Miranda Kerr? Or tied to a railway track. It’s the movies for christssake. It should be drama–tic
When your brand is up against earthquakes, world cups, glee and god knows what else you’ve got to get peoples attention and stand out. this just blends in.
It’s nearly as forgettable as that car give away thing..
next.
Isn’t that the ubiquitous ‘ad guy’ again? The one who specialises in being a dumb-arse?
Wow 9.30
I have a funny feeling that the executions you speak of require a fair bit of money. Miranda Kerr? I also have a funny feeling that newspapers are declining and so I’d imagine their budgets are too…
Anyway, I saw it on the night and it wasn’t too bad. Felt like a short film.
Oh yeah, and you seem like a tool. Want a job? I work at the biggest agency in Sydney and we’re full of them.
Kidnapped by aliens, tied to railway tracks – surely nobody is paying you to write 9.30?
Ignore the haters. Given the pedigree of SMH ads, which are tactical retail spots on limited budgets, this is very nice.
What…no creative directors?
I think this works.
I like the literal “issues” as to why the guy didn’t see it (as 9.30 calls them), but maybe one wacky one at the end (i.e. the aliens) may have worked too.
Easy to correct work after it’s done though…
Dull work from what is a dull agency.
Dull? I wouldn’t describe them as dull?
Do you have your head in the sand? Or do you live in Perth?
Ay ayyy perth.
I worked for Tequila , good bunch. Good work too under a strict budget.
Perth ain’t so bad.
