CASE STUDY: Scope is a not-for-profit organisation whose mantra is ‘See the person, not the disability’.
Rock band Rudely Interrupted are living proof of this message, with 5 out of the 6 band members living with physical and/or intellectual disabilities.
Acting as music promoters, Leo Burnett Melbourne released a single, created a music video and launched a national tour to show the whole country how capable people living with a disability really are.

Inspirational stuff. Really, really nice work.
First case study video i’ve seen for a while that does justice to the idea. Nice.
I saw the film clip a little while ago and i liked it. But the campaign as a whole is brilliant. The synergy between message and the band/group delivering it pitch perfect.
Love it
Agree good video. Great idea. Brilliant charity work.
I didn’t mind being interrupted. Nice work by the band and by those at Leo’s
Go James. Making some solid work at the new pad
Just fantastic. Watched it twice.
I thing love is that the band members look genuinely happy to be involved in the project and that its a celebration of their talent rather than guilting the public into giving money.
The video is actually a bit of a tear jerker.
Well done guys!
Should do well at the shows.
This is powerful. Great work Leo’s.
Very nice. Hats off.
Elle and James, the super team.
Agree completely 2:02. I got a little tear. Great work from both the band and the agency.
Good stuff. Having tried to do big projects like this in the past and having them fall apart just before launch I know the effort that goes into something like this. Impressive.
For a charity to undertake such a project requires guts and commitment. It’s good to see.
Nice big idea. Executed well. Presently superbly.
Like it….like it a lot.
Nice work. Finally something worthy coming out of LB.
Makes me glad to be in the industry.
I was ready to be underwhelmed. But this is pretty darn good.
2.02 and 2.24 I must be a soft like you guys.
Really good stuff, great way of getting the message out.
My only issue with this is, did anyone else notice that the photo attached to this article is of the only person who appears in the video who doesn’t have a disability? Come on CB, see the person, not the disability.
Prepare for metal. Nuff said.
yep. gonna have to save the hate for something else.
this is damn good.
Very award worthy effort
Love it. love it. I watched it twice too.
Go team Leos! Always good to see strong emotive campaigns that are about creating real change within the community for the better…..not just chasing the scrilla.
Got a tingle
This rocks
6,7,8,9…I smell a Gold Lion.
Nice work. Very jealous.
Anyone know where I can see the song? Wasn’t on the case study
Nice maaate (and Elle) no heavy metal! But I’m sure you’ll pick up some at the shows. Congrats, seriously moving stuff, made a grown man shed a man tear.
Well done, guys. Great idea, inspiring stuff.
Out of interest, does anyone know how many singles were sold, and the amount of money it raised?
