SapientNitro strengthens digital credentials with hire of senior digital creative Thomas Marcusson

sapient 1.jpgCB Exclusive – In a move that further bolsters the agency’s already impressive digital capability, Sapient Nitro has hired senior digital creative, Thomas Marcusson.

 

Commenting on the new hire, SapientNitro Sydney CD Scot ‘Skip’ Waterhouse told CB: “Nancy (Hartley, Sapient ECD), Ralphie (Barnett, Brisbane CD), Tod (O’Reilly, Melbourne CD) and I hunted high and low for someone like Tom. Creativity is his way of life. Not only does he have a great body of communications work, he’s directed music videos and is a practicing new media artist, having had work displayed at the Vivid Sydney Festival, the Powerhouse Museum and at the Science Gallery in Dublin.”

The multi-talented Marcusson also runs an art/design collective called Scissors , responsible for, amongst other things, the branding of the Sydney International Animation Festival for the past three years.

“Digital is just another weapon in a creative’s armory, and although we need people who know how to use this relatively new weapon, they also need to know how to be creative with it, and Thomas is one of those rare guys,” said Waterhouse.
