Sam I Am Management launches new Female Photography Mentorship Program Chapter One

Sam I Am has launched its new Female Photography Mentorship Program Chapter One and has announced a call for entries. Sam I Am is looking for young female photographic talent to give them the career kickstart they both need and deserve.

Sam I Am has always built its business by changing progressively, making stuff better and not being afraid of bucking trends if necessary in order to do it. Now there’s something else it wants to make better. Something that’s been bugging them for ages.

Females are vastly under-represented in pro photography and yet there’s so much talent out there.

Sam I Am thinks this kind of gender imbalance is well overdue for a makeover. That’s why they’re doing something positive to rewrite the story for young women in photography.

Introducing Chapter One, a unique mentorship program Sam I Am has created, designed to help give the very best young female talent out there a new beginning to their stories.

Chapter One is a unique, hands-on, 1-on-1 experience within a commercial photography practice. Something money can’t buy.

Successful applicants will get a FREE 3 month Mentorship Program, each being paired with a Sam I Am artist to gain invaluable knowledge via access to a range of diverse talent and skillsets – stylists, assistants, retouchers, producers, agency creatives and more – all successful, top-of-their-game and well known within the industry.

Sam I Am is looking for young women with visual stories they want to tell, a series or image they want to produce. Over three months they’ll have one-on-one access to a Sam I Am mentor who’ll help to develop it. Ultimately the final images will be shown at an exhibition attended by industry creatives.

If you are (or someone you know is) a young woman with passion, commitment and a visual story to tell Sam I Am wants to hear from you.

Sam I Am thanks its partners for making this possible – Pix on Location, Special Group, Glue Society, Alex Reznick, Cream Electric Art, and Killanoodle.
