Sam Cable: Serviceplan, Hamburg Diary #6
Sam Cable is a copywriting student at Miami Ad School Sydney, currently interning at European ad agency Serviceplan, Hamburg as part of her portfolio course.
I am back from my trip to the Ukraine, and back in action. I thought I would take a little detour during the weekend to celebrate my 22nd birthday! Definitely strategic to utilise my time in Germany with a sprinkle of Ukrainian flair. As the internship finishes in three weeks, I have made the decision to stay in Hamburg for the last stretch of the copywriting course. Europe is full of powerhouse agencies and I cannot wait to learn from them.
There have been a lot of exciting moments with the innovation team in Serviceplan. The achievement I am most proud of is helping create an idea that won my first pitch. If all goes according to plan, it will be launched in December. My art director, Rafael Martins, and I worked on an idea, presented it, and after a few rounds it was pitched to the client. It has been crazy to work on an international product launch. What an experience for a few southern hemisphere interns! Fingers crossed the rollout goes smoothly.
But all this good news did not come easy. We have had plenty of ups and downs, late nights, and idea meltdowns. That is why this week’s Serviceplan Fact is: Never Give Up. Rafael and I are trying to squeeze as much into these last three weeks as possible. We always have to remind ourselves to keep pushing. Keep striving. Keeping trying to reach higher.
Here for three more months.
