Robert Morgan: Doomsayers were wrong, ad agencies have survived and are thriving

In the words of Mark Twain: ”Reports of my death have been exaggerated.” So too have been the predictions of the decline and fall of advertising agencies.

It’s fortunate that Clemenger BBDO has deep pockets. After the failed experiments in creative leadership, particularly in Melbourne over the past decade, it’s good to see Rob has finally got it right there, and pleasing to see the agency doing well. Er, until the next wind change.
Shame Clems Sydney has taken years to get going and never become the big player. Have the new ECDs got it in them to make it rock too. If they have the Clems group with be the place to work in Australia.
