Renegade scores nominations for Immigration Nation and RocKwiz at inaugural AACTA awards

The SBS/Renegade show RocKwiz has been nominated for Best Light Entertainment up against The Gruen Transfer, Judith Lucy’s Spiritual Journey, Hungry Beast and Junior MasterChef.

Immigration Nation: The Secret History of Us, currently being repeated on SBS and one of the network’s successes of 2010 is nominated for Best Documentary Series. Developed by Renegade’s factual department headed up by Alex West, it charts the history of immigration in Australia and the infamous White Australia Policy.

Its nomination follows on the success of Renegade factual’s  Inside The Firestorm doco which collected three AFI awards last year.

Immigration Nation has already picked up awards for its print and on-line campaigns.
