Red hot redhead takes out AWARD School Qld

By coincidence, for the second year running, the top AWARD School student in Queensland was a flame-haired, female copywriter.
Congratulations go to Christie Meehan who took home the coveted mini-pencil. Alan Wilson and Benjamin Lees tied for second and Alexandra Sticklen came in third.
Around 60 people attended the grad party held at Momentum Studio on the night before the show holiday so an extra good time was had by all.
AWARD would like to thank the Qld School Heads, Cristian Staal and Marianne Harvey from SapientNitro and their tutors, Shane Murray from Engine Group, Piet Human from GPY&R, Jim McKeown from Clemenger BBDO, Ralphie Barnett from SapientNitro and Jonathan Drapes from Junior.

Look on the bright side. They could have written that the top student was a flame-haired female copywriter with bit tits. You know ‘Red hot redhead with a rockin’ rack takes out AWARD School Qld’.
Now that would have been sexist, but you see, from another angle, things are never as bad as they seem.
Ryan Petie is also a rockin’ redhead. With silver-tipped nipples that could launch a dozen ships across Bass strait, because it’s better to live in Tasmania than have his auburn sunset chest hair sprayed across you as he tries to write his name on your back with bumped areola.
Or something like that.
It’s great being the top student.
I’ve using that as the pillar of my cv for 10 years.
Some say it’s sad. But it’s better than admitting that I’ve done sweet fuck all for the last 10 years.

Doubtful, hence the sexism charge.
It’s just too bad that the colour of this year’s AWARD school student’s hair, and the ‘shocking’ coincidence of the award going to a redheaded person for the ‘second year running’ (OMG!) is somehow the most newsworthy aspect of the recipient winning for her talent and hard work.
Pretty ordinary for AWARD really, but the spectre of sexism here in blokey Oz lives on, at its own expense.
