Sydney digital agency Reborn wins competitive pitch for National Broadband Network (NBN)
Reborn, one of Australia’s fastest growing full-service digital agencies, won the NBN contract in May 2011 following a competitive pitch.
Responsible for the redesign and construction of an effective website presence for the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy’s newly redeveloped website, Reborn focused on easy user navigation and the availability of content including video to educate and inform the public of the progress, plans and announcements of NBN.
Reborn conducted a comprehensive audit of user journeys and their respective information needs and devised content strategies around key user journeys for the different user groups.
Some of these user groups include, all Australian households including those in remote areas, businesses, the education sector, media and hospitals.
This first phase of the re-launch in June 2011 co-incided with the launch of the Australian Government’s National Digital Economy Strategy at the CeBIT Australia conference where the conference was live streamed through the redesigned site.
Phase two of the roll out, launched recently in August 2011 involved building an online private forum for thought leaders on the topic. These community members were from various user groups and championed their segment. The online community provides a place to answer people’s questions and to facilitate collaboration and information sharing. Articles can be shared and numerous videos and interviews are hosted on the main site, as part of the second phase.
Says Reborn co-founder David Easton: “The National Broadband Network team have embraced our digital solution, aimed at ensuring all users in the Australian community are supported in their up to date information needs.
The Reborn team working on the website re-design are excited about being involved in such a significant project because the reach and impact of the National Broadband Network is so wide and varied, our team have been challenged to think in new and different ways in a very unique space”.
