Rabbit director Daniel Mitchell collaborates with Facebook + Semi Permanent to create new film
Rabbit, Facebook and Semi Permanent have come together to create a 45 second film inspired by famous American Photographer Dan Winters. Rabbit director Daniel Mitchell wrote and directed the film and worked closely with head of Facebook’s Creative Shop (ANZ), Rebecca Carrasco throughout the process.
The film forms the first installment of an ongoing collaboration between Facebook, Semi Permanent and the global creative and design community. Over the next few months more artists will release work, inspired by the Dan Winters portrait, using the Facebook platform in different ways to convey their unique story.
For Mitchell, Dan Winters’ Photo Booth image represented a place where you can be anything you want to be.
Says Mitchell: “In a private space like a booth, you can pull any pose and really embrace trial and error. There was also something about the timeless feel of the composition and art direction that evoked a time where dreams exist and magic happens.
This film is about being anything you want to be, a collection of photographs and a dream.”

Nice little film
Nice tender little spot. Good to see FaceBook out there doing something different with their platform.
