Qantas airs new ‘You’re the reason we fly’ Olympics commercial via Publicis Mojo, Sydney

Qantas has put to air its Olympic commercial, continuing the ‘You’re the reason we fly’ theme launched by Publicis Mojo, Sydney last week.
The spot, featuring music by Daniel Johns, was directed by The Glue Society’s Gary Freedman via Revolver.

It takes a lot from the Procter and Gamble ad: Olympic athletes training at dawn… But has no where near as much emotion as the P&G ad. And why is Leisel so grumpy?
The lack of comments is also interesting. Are people that sick of the Qantas ad campaign?
I’m completely sick of it. If I hear that whiney annoying song one more time I’ll scream.
Probably the most childish ad in Channel Nine’s abominable Olympics saturation advertising blitz. Qantas’s Whooooo whooooooo whooooooo – “To all those who believe anything is possible” – whooooo whooooooo – “You’re the reason we fly” is utter claptrap. Qantas is in disastrous decline and CEO Alan Joyce is protecting his obscene $5 million annual salary. He couldn’t give a fig about the sardines that travel Qantas.

At least some of the funeral plan ads dried up early on, only to be replaced by a tsunami of gambling adverts. If I was James Packer, I would get rid of the talkative Crown Casino Doorman. He seems to know far more about Crown than James.
