The announcement follows a five-month tender process where several leading agencies were invited to submit proposals in a bid to win the $8 million contract.

Publicis Mojo has worked with Eagle Boys since 2007 on many advertising concepts, including the controversial new campaign that confirms some large multinational pizza chains are selling pizzas up to 15% # smaller than Eagle Boys’ pizzas.

Says Eagle Boys Pizza group executive marketing: “Publicis Mojo had demonstrated it was best in class throughout the tender process. Eagle Boys was looking for a like-minded creative agency that shared the same passion and vigour to move the brand forward, and Publicis Mojo was the clear winner throughout the tender process.

It was a rigorous process where agencies were briefed at the end of February and given until May to submit proposals, with finalists invited back for presentations at the end of June.

With a focus on expansion and innovation during the next few years, Eagle Boys needs an agile and mischievous agency that can work closely with our in-house marketing team to drive the brand and develop memorable, tongue-in-cheek strategic campaign activities.”

Publicis Mojo will now be responsible for creating the overall brand direction for Eagle Boys during the next two years, producing above-the-line creative and the media component of the marketing strategy. Its contract does not include below-the-line creative, digital marketing strategy development and implementation, or print.
