Planning gets more social at Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney with appointment of Suz Koch
Top talent continues to arrive at the newly revitalised Saatchi & Saatchi Sydney.
Most recent is Yahoo!7’s Suz Koch, who last week took up the newly created role of social strategist.
Koch is the first planning hire under new executive planning director, Jason Lonsdale, who joined the agency in January.
Says Lonsdale: “Our baseline goal is not just keeping up with media trends, but making them. Suz immediately impressed us with her social media experience, robust thinking and above all, her ‘boots and all’ attitude.
With the role and scope of planning changing so rapidly it’s a no-brainer to have top specialists like Suz on board to help us deliver a truly integrated communications platform for clients.”
Koch, who spent four years at Yahoo!7, most recently as social media strategist, describes herself as an actively curious person who values experiences over things, and loves to find ways to connect the dots that aren’t expected.
Says Koch: “It’s great to join an agency with solid momentum and future focus. I look forward to working with so many talented people, both in terms of creativity and strategic thinking.”

My Baseline Goal is to understand what the fuck a baseline goal is.
Planners of Australia unite!
You have nothing to lose save your inability to form sentences.
Says Lonsdale: “Our baseline goal is not just keeping up with media trends, but making them’. Big talk. Lets see if Saatchis can walk it.
Suz Koch is a wonderful woman. Extremely talented and not to mention stunning! I wish her all the best!!
That’s why when planners speak, clients just tune out and check their emails.
Sound bites made from a hand full of magnetic poetry buzz words only make sense to employers who speak the same bull.
Maybe that’s why small shops who don’t have the budget to hire planners/social strategists who can’t call a spade a spade are laughing their way to the bank.
