The PGA would be better off convincing a free-to-air network to televise its tournaments. Will do much more than this campaign to promote the sport.
…promoting the sport? isn’t that the role of golf australia? This surely is an ad for getting a lesson from a PGA expert, but totally agree that TV clearly doesn’t support the sport well enough here, had no idea the masters was even on (although would rather be playing than watching)
I saw this print last year? Is this a rerun?
Dont think a re-run but the report does say the next instalment. I do remember seeing this on TV last summer but it was promoting the events, not getting a lesson… i know this as my golf game is still shit and i wasted my time watching 1HD
Golf is struggling and as a weekend player anything promoting the sport that i love has my support. Not many golfers however look like the guy in the ads… maybe a bigger pot belly, smaller arms and a nagging wife.
Love the imagery, nice work!
PGA MISSION (lifted directly from PGA website)
“To promote and grow the game of golf, thereby providing our current and future members with the opportunity to maximise their career potential.”
Sounds like they’re supposed to be promoting the game Norman.
Grabbing the Pay TV dollars might be an attractive (short-term) proposition for the PGA but they might find in the long run, it’s hard to give lessons if nobody’s playing.
Great lighting on the bloke and some sick action shots.
