Passion Pictures signs director Neil Mendoza

Passion Pictures, the multiple-Oscar-winning international animation and film production company, has signed director and creative technologist Neil Mendoza to its roster of talent for commercials representation in Australia and New Zealand.

Mendoza’s work moves outside of the traditional TVC, breathing life into objects and spaces through the use of digital and mechanical technology. His recent project ‘The Electric Knife Orchestra’ illustrates this perfectly, using sixteen knives and a meat cleaver to perform the Bee Gees hit ‘Stayin’ Alive’.

Unsurprisingly the unique, often futuristic nature of his creations has led to widespread media coverage, not to mention exhibitions at venues including The Science Museum, The V&A, Watermans, PICNIC Festival, AND Festival, ISEA, Kinetica, The Nottingham Playhouse, The Barbican, BBC Big Screens, The Museum of London, and Oi Futuro.

Says Mendoza on signing with Passion: “I’m really excited to be working with Passion.
