Panasonic beats the blur with new 3D VIERA consumer campaign via The Campaign Palace
Panasonic is set to launch its first Full HD 3D VIERA advertising campaign, encouraging consumers to take advantage of Panasonic Neo Plasma technology to enjoy sharp, crisp and clean 3D, without the blur. The campaign was created by The Campaign Palace Sydney, with media planning and buying bycommunications agency UM Sydney.
The extensive campaign will kick off this Sunday September 5 and features a 30-second television commercial, 3D cinema advertising, eye-catching point-of-sale, sponsorships including the 2010 Toyota AFL Final Series, as well as an online campaign with partner YouTube.
Panasonic is leading the way in the new 3D visual era with itsend-to-end 3D solutions – from its professional 3D broadcast camcorderthat allows cinematographers to create content, to home entertainmentsolutions that include Full HD 3D VIERA TVs and 3D Blu-ray player, andthe new 3D consumer camcorder.
The campaign will feature the”Happy Dude” character previously seen in Panasonic’s “Blacker Blacks”campaign and demonstrates the key advantage of VIERA Neo Plasma for 3Dviewing.
Says Cameron Hoelter, CD of The Campaign Palace,Sydney: “3D technology is now well-established in the market, all majorbrands have a version. However the quality of the 3D technology variesconsiderably across these brands.
“So in this execution we’vetaken the distinctive animation style established in our Neo Plasmacampaign and used it to communicate that unless you have a Panasonic 3DTV, you may have a lot of trouble recognising the 3D images you’rewatching.”

Love it, great follow-up to the Black spot.
Nice ad.
Simple and to the point.
Nice work Nic, Hywel and Dr. Seuss.
A stand-out, watchable ad.
And what I really like about it is that they didn’t try to be uber clever with the 3D thing.
A lot of teams would have tried to do something clever with things coming out of the telly, and just end up doing a job for the category.
The boys actually found a benefit.
Nicely done.
Smart and nice to see a 3D ad that goes beyond the “wow stuff is coming out of the screen at you” rubbish elsewhere
I’m watching this team.
They’re doing good things.
Hold tight, Cam.
Nice. In my opinion Sydney’s Umeric did better with the MSN design.

love your work Nic and Hywel – another great piece of creative from Cam’s leadership – awesome stuff
Call me old and cynical, another no-name bleater,
But I’m sure sick of that clichéd and shop-worn rhyme and meter.
