Outdoor phase of the Australian Army’s Pilot campaign set to launch via GPY&R, Melbourne

The outdoor phase of GPY&R Melbourne’s Army Pilot campaign launches next week, as a follow up to the print campaign that launched earlier in the year.
The campaign shows how action-packed flying an Army helicopter can be – keeping low to the ground, flying in incredible locations, and coming to the aid of our soldiers are just a few examples of why this role is so exciting.

That’s what Army ads should look like!
No people crapping on about how rewarding the job is, just super classy, freak’n sexy product shots like these.
Top shelf print.
Andraes, you are a star. Awesome shots!

Fucking lovely.
That’s how you do it.
That’s some lascivious print right there. Well done guys.
What’s the visual when you land somewhere that’s not dusty?
Great stuff. Should work brilliantly. Well done team!
Ok GPY&R.
Stop posting.
It’s Guinness Surfers.
And the headline is clunky.
Good (amazing actually) production value doesn’t constitute an idea. Most poster shops in the US have patriotic army visuals like this.
It’s moody, well made and beautifully put together.
But you’re one great headline away from a nice ad.
Yeah, I loved this when Guinness did it too….
Hello awards. Especially craft!
AUSTRALIA FUCK YEAH, COMING AGAIN TO SAVE THE MOTHERFUCKING DAY YEAH.
First AFL signatures, why wouldn’t Guinness Surfers be next?
I know a couple of pilots in the army and their responce:
Fuck yeah!
Nice one Northam Coulsen and co.
And surprise surprise, they’ve never heard of Guiness Surfer.
Get your heads our of your asses adwankers.
Andraes, you are a star. Awesome shots!
Jealous!
Love the strategy, love the work, love the craft
I’d love that in my book.
Twelve year-old me would have that pinned to the wall in my bedroom. It’s awesome.
So Hib:
You know a few pilots in the army eh?
And you showed them the ads four hours after they were posted on here?
Bullshit. And learn to spell.
And if your so called mates have never heard of Guinness Surfers, we have. And it’s an industry blog.
This is really nice print congratulations GPY&R. Don’t listen to the dittactors it is so odviouse it is someone with an ax to grind. The surfer ad was years ago it seems like a stretch to draw comparisons but if you really want to; the true is Surfer was inspired by a famouse painting called “Neptune’s Horses”. It’s easy to try and kill work, whats hard is to create something as beautiful as this.
I actually know an army pilot pretty well. My brother.
6 years in townsville with blackhawks and now in Sydney with UAVs with a tour of Afghanistan along the way.
To explain the Fucking bleeding obvious, I sent the link to him when I saw it because I thought he’d like it. H saw it on CB. He in turn has posted it to his FB page. Since he knows a bunch of pilots in the helicopter divisions of the army, they have posted too.
Any other petty questions?
dittactors
odviouse
ax
the true is
famouse
Sure you’re an ECD, sure.
Look, this stuff looks bloody great, and ordinarily I’d care less, but this is a pretty REAL thing you’re advertising here, this isn’t a chocolate bar. So how on earth is this outdoor?? I can barely read the headline on my screen much less in the real world. Why is there NO website, or additonal call to action? Are you seriously telling me that people would ring a phone number after seeing this? Get real Patts.
Also, that above thread about someone’s brother who’s a pilot, who really likes these? What on earth has that got to do with anything? Surely these ads are designed to attract new recruits? ie: people who aren’t pilots.
…… Should be learn some manners again ?
Should do well with all the hardwired squarejaws who can’t think beyond appearances.
