PCCU Sound Lounge Day 1 001 (11).jpgShoppers at Darwin’s Casuarina Shopping Centre will be able to enjoy a Bass in the Grass music festival experience, complete with music from artists such as The Temper Trap, Hilltop Hoods and The Jezabels, as part of an experiential campaign developed by oOh!media.

The campaign, which aims to leverage People’s Choice Credit Union’s sponsorship of the event, is oOh!’s first activation in the Northern Territory.

Taking place in a 3 x 6 metre site at the centre, music lovers can lounge around in the People’s Choice Credit Union Sound Lounge on bean bags while tuning in with wireless headphones playing music from Australian music artists who feature at the Bass in the Grass music festival this weekend.

The space is complemented with grass flooring and a curved display wall, with music being transmitted from iPads.

Brand ambassadors, who were trained and managed by oOhfactor!, the experiential division of oOh!media, will encourage those listening to activate an account with the local branch of the People’s Choice Credit Union.

Says Matt Boyd, general manager at oOhfactor!: “The sound lounge is a great way to give the community access to local artists and strengthen brand ties with 16 to 24 year-olds, whilst enabling the People’s Choice Credit Union to leverage their sponsorship of Bass in the Grass.”

The sound lounge activation will run for four days starting Tuesday, 22 May 2012.  Pre-sales tickets to Bass in the Grass have been sold out.
