Ogilvy Melbourne’s documentary for the Melbourne Film Festival to screen at film festivals
Ogilvy Melbourne has created a documentary for this year’s Melbourne International Film Festival, called ‘It’s a matter of taste’, which is slated for other film festivals around the country.
The documentary follows two people who agreed to live in choc top and popcorn suits for the duration of the festival.

During this time they were sent around town, given tasks to achieve andVIP passes to experience the unique experiences and life Melbourneoffers, such as taking part at the training session of the MelbourneStorm, shaking hands with Joe Dante, air kissing Germaine Greer andbeing on stage with a German hip hop group.
Executive creative director, Michael Knox said: “Once we started following these guys we saw the weird cult-like support they were generating, as well as the obvious psychological effect of living in damp polyurethane suits for too long.”
Both characters blogged live film reviews to their 500 plus Twitter followers. A Facebook campaign asked Melburnians to vote for their favourite movie snack and to convince their friends to do the same.
The campaign resulted in 12,000 referrals and one movie snack, ‘Popcorn’ rising triumphant from the digital candy bar. It has been MIFF’s most successful campaign to date. The documentary is listed at the Brisbane International Film Festival and will screen at other short film festivals over the next 12 months. It will also be seen on Melbourne’s Channel 31.
