Ogilvy Group Melbourne and DTDigital ask: Will you be ‘naughty or nice’ online this Christmas?

ogilvy shot.jpgCreated by DTDigital, the online ‘Naughty or Nice’ Christmas concept invites users to takepart in a real-time ‘would you rather’ scenario.

Everyone must make a choice: be nice and make a donation to charity, or be naughty and shoot a member of the Ogilvy Group Melbourne team.

Developed by Jason Deacon and Emma Park, the idea came after a charity filled 2011.

Says Deacon: “This year we’ve been confronted with so many natural disasters; flooding here and overseas,Cyclone Yasi, Japan’s Tsunami and the New Zealand earthquakes. Australians have rallied together to help others more than ever.”

“Come the end of the year, it’s no surprise that people are suffering from charity fatigue. So

we thought we’d give them the opportunity to be a little bit selfish and have some fun for a

moment,” added Park.

Users make their choice by controlling an industrial slingshot in realtime. Developed by

DTDigital’s creative and technical teams, the slingshot fires paintballs at more than 80km per

hour and can be controlled remotely, over the web, by users anywhere in the world.

This year’s creation is a follow up to their award-winning 2010 Christmas card ‘Selector3000’, which attracted more than 300 views per hour and became the highest trending topic on Twitter nationally.
