Oddfellows, Sydney hopes to be seen and noticed with latest ‘invisible’ spot for Toyota’s Rukus

With countless boring cars on the road, it can sometimes feel like everything just blends into the background. But with Rukus by Toyota this is never the case. Thanks to its sharp angles and head-turning looks Rukus always stands out, as demonstrated in this spot via Oddfellows, Sydney.

nice idea and sweet effects, shame about the voice over
Nice. Good way to turn a negative: ‘My God, that care is fugly,’ into a positive.
I know it’s a different idea, but this spot is still pretty fresh in my mind from Toyota Australia:

Clever strategy and execution.
Don’t mind the track either.
nice film. fucking ugly car.
Rubbish
Well done Oddfellows. Great launch posters followed by this nice spot. You’re quietly building the next super hip brand. I bet sales are strong.
It takes a lot of time and effort and money to make a car, you’ld think someone would stop at the initial sketch and go “Wait we can’t make this ugly piece of crap tin”
Sure, if you want to be seen in the ugliest car on the road.
Very very nice. Just right production values on a simple, solid idea.
And aside from the ad itself – the obviously objective opinions of the car as ‘ugly’ are a classic case of the cliche that the writers of those comments aren’t the target market.
I wouldn’t drive one either, but hey, I’m not as cool as I used to be.
Iam the demographic and the car is still ugly, love the effects but they are wasted on revealing the ugly persons mini.. ill call it like it is, Toyota tried to make a clubman and added a futuristic touch, this call was as bad as a front wheel drive V6 😉
11:03 PM – How’s the Shire?
Are you kidding 5:59? The integration of the effects is awful.
