Host campaign pushes Bankwest’s WA roots
Bankwest has launched a new campaign to promote its Western Australian heritage. Ironically the campaign for the bank – fully owned by eastern states headquartered CBA – was created by Sydney-based Host, and is spearheaded by a television commercial that was shot at the end of last year.
The campaign website – wa4ever.com – highlights the bank’s historical links and ongoing partnerships with Western Australia: “We’re really proud to have been a part of the fabric of WA for more than 115 years and we’re making a long lasting commitment to stay at the forefront of banking in Western Australia.”
The campaign comes in the wake of the Police & Nurses Credit Union’s aggressive push against ‘eastern states owned banks and building societies’ (Bankwest is owned by CBA).

More like happy wanking.
those kids toys makes me think it’s run by children.
Terrible. Come on Host, you are better than this.
I liked the last lot with the chainsaw and the wedding. Strangely compelling. And the Squirrel in the office was great.
But that is a shocker.
Talking about bank shockers see the new ANZ stuff in the tennis. Unfunny wallpaper. Come on M & C like Host you can do better.
That wasn’t M&C. That was DDB who did the ANZ stuff.
They took a brand that was actually doing some lovely work and dragged it through the dull, corporate mud.
Stick to bubblegum DDB. Lay off the big brands eh?
