Emotions of The WORLD MOVIES Channel

WM3.jpgSydney agency Mr Mumbles is exploring the full range of human emotions in a TV spot for The WORLD MOVIES Channel, the international cinema channel available on FOXTEL and AUSTAR.

The 30-second TVC, directed by Josh Logue of The Feds, aims to attract movie lovers who enjoy Hollywood blockbusters but want a deeper, more immersive movie experience. It focuses on the face of a viewer as he is transported to another world by The WORLD MOVIES Channel, experiencing a myriad of emotions including sadness, happiness, empathy and surprise. Animated action above his head illustrates the filmic journey that is triggering his emotional journey, which is also reflected in the original music score by Song Zu.

“The WORLD MOVIES Channel is a unique brand offering a unique viewing experience,” said Mr Mumbles creative partner Laurie Ingram. “We, or should we say, Josh and his team, spent many sleepless nights working on an animation style that really brought this experience to life, giving the audience an engaging 30-second taste of what’s in store for them.”

The WORLD MOVIES Channel CEO Linda Hickey said: “The channel prides itself on showcasing the best, award-winning cinema from around the world. Laurie and Andrew’s concept of taking the viewer on an emotional journey reflects the diversity and sometimes challenging nature of the films, of which over 80% are Australian Television Premieres. We’re delighted with the end result, which we are confident will resonate with a broad movie-loving audience.”

The spot will air across FOXTEL and AUSTAR channels from next week. It will also premiere at the cinema during the German Film Festival in Sydney and Melbourne. A print execution will follow.

This is the first campaign for The WORLD MOVIES Channel by Mr Mumbles since winning the account in February.
