Method Studios Sydney lures award-winning compositor David Edwards from Animal Logic
Method Studios Sydney has announced that young gun compositor David Edwards has joined the company, adding significant strength to its compositing team.
Edwards was lured across from Animal Logic after a few years working with directors of the ilk of Noam Murro, Brent Bonacorso, Steve Rogers, Daniel Askill and Jean-Pierre Jeunet, just to mention a few.
Says Method executive director Andrew Shostak: “David is one of theindustry’s next big thing, there is no doubt. He has developed into a great talent, and has a number of big names already that have trusted him in finishing their TVC’s, and he did not disappoint. To round him off his clients skills are exceptional and he is a delight to be around.”
Edwards has been recognised already within the industry for his VFX work by winning Silver at the LIA awards for his work on ‘Elantra’, and winning Bronze at LIA for his work on ‘Smirnoff.’
Says Edwards: “Method have produced some of the best VFX work recently, I’m really excited that I’m now part ofthat. And the office at Walsh Bay is incredible, I even get a water view from the suite’.

Hey Michael,
how about occasionally throwing in an alternative to ‘lure’ as the verb for these pieces? A few from the Thesaurus which might be fun:
attract, bait, beguile, bewitch, cajole, captivate, charm, coax, come on, decoy, draw, enchant, entrap, fascinate, hook, inveigle, lead on, magnetize, persuade, pull, seduce, suck in, sweep off feet, tempt, turn on, wile, win over.
Well done David. You’re extremely talented and patient with difficult clients, hope it all goes well mate.
Yes well done on winning those awards David!
😉
And yay for me and the other 50+ artists that worked on these spots!
“David is one of theindustry’s next big thing”
Unfortunately this does not make any sense.
Congrats to David, but this stuff is elementary.
It all matters.
round and round they go. No doubt that Dave is a talented guy, but people move on, big deal, next week someone else will move, is this really new?, does anyone care? Everyone know it takes an army of people to produce the work from live action right through post.
Blah blah blah…….
