Melbourne Writers’ Festival campaign makes cut at Jay Chiat Awards for Strategic Excellence
JWT Melbourne’s campaign for the Melbourne Writers’ Festival – which was shortlisted for the Cannes Grand Prix for Good back in June – is the only Australian entry shortlisted in this year’s prestigious Jay Chiat Awards for Strategic Excellence.
A great achievement against truly stellar global competition – the other shortlisted entries in the category (brand experience) are:
CP+B–American Express: “Small Business Saturday”
Droga5–Microsoft Bing: “Decode Jay-Z With Bing”
Goodby Silverstein and Partners–Adobe: “Museum of Digital Media”
The Martin Agency–Walmart: “The Smack Talk Launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2”
McKinney–Qwest: “Starting a Conversation Without Uttering a Word”
MRM Worldwide–US Army: “At the Ready”
R/GA–Nike: “The Film Room”
Every summer the Melbourne Writers Festival consumes the city with over 40,000 people wandering through the CBD between venues. JWT Melbourne saw a perfect opportunity to take the festival to the streets with an interactive book that brings the theme “Stories From Every Angle” to life.
