Media Assisting Youth (MAYDAY) final call for advertisers – deadline: August 6
Marketers and advertising buyers wanting to join the MAYDAY movement that represents the collective conscience of the Australian media industry, have less than three weeks to bid for over 30 exceptional media packages sponsored by Australia’s leading media owners.
Advertisers and buyers have the chance until August 6th to secure primeadvertising space with media brands including all free to air and payTV operators, leading online publishers and market leaders in each ofthe radio, OOH and print sectors.
Winning bidders will be announced at the exclusive annual MAYDAY event,to be held at Merivale’s Hemmesphere in Sydney, on August 18th from 6pm.
MAYDAY has raised over $2 million in cash over the past three years forunder-privileged young people in our community, and this year thanks tothe generosity of the media industry over $1 million of media has beenpledged.
Says MAYDAY founder Kerry McCabe: “This is set to be our best year yet.We are amazed with the amount of support we’ve received so far givenmedia avails are quite tight, we now just need advertisers to jump onboard to ensure a record result.”
In MAYDAY tradition, an impressive entertainment line-up have donatedtheir talent to the event, featuring MC Mikey Robins, Potbelleezperforming their new hit single “Hello,” and a performance byAustralia’s Got Talent Winners Justice Crew and Australian Idol Winner2009 Stan Walker.
MAYDAY has selected six amazing organisations to support: Oasis YouthSupport Services, KidsXpress, Rare Earth Foundation, South Sydney YouthServices, Fighting Chance and Carevan Foundation.
MAYDAY is also launching the new MAYDAY marketing mentor program, toassist the not-for-profit partners build their brands and assuresustainability by developing their own innovative fundraising andsponsorship programs.
