McLaren Vale Food and Wine festival reminds punters about relationship between food and wine in new campaign via Showpony Adelaide

Created to showcase local produce, the McLaren Vale Food and Wine festival has in recent years lost some of its focus. Increasingly it was all about the wine and not much else.
Showpony Adelaide’s idea was to reset the balance and remind punters about the relationship between food and wine.
Simple powerful iconography tells an immediate and deliberate story. Food and wine enjoyed together.

But I like it.
Well done!
Is it still 1994 in Adelaide?
Sorry nostalgia they forgot to stick like me on facebook and twitter icons on the bottom. That would’ve made it brilliant eh.
Seriously what a bullshit comment. Since when did a simple arresting image that sums up what the whole thing is all about become obsolete?
there’s always a dick in this blog.
Like. Nice, simple, clever.
“… idea was to reset the balance and remind punters about the relationship between food and wine.”
Thank goodness somebody is addressing this major world issue.
Three paragraphs saying the same thing.
Let the ad do the talking?
I never comment on these blogs, but this is a great idea, beautifully crafted, and falls into the category, “i wish I’d thought of that”, so I felt compelled to congratulate those responsible. It’d make me want to go. Well done.
I too saw this and thought well done and wish I had done it.
well done to all involved.
Creative team to CD:
“Any other briefs kicking around that need cracking?”
I never comment on what Pete Becker has to say on these blogs, but I whole heartedly agree with him.
Simple. Original. Relevant. Great.
@Nostalgia has no idea.
Love it. No digital, no integration, no likes, no shares, no bullshit. Just a great, instant, smart ad.
If that’s nostalgia, I can only hope the industry follows most other trends and returns to it the decades of debauchery and ads like this.
