Entrants will have to wait until the award ceremony on 12 June to find out whether they have been awarded a coveted Yellow Pencil.

Says Iain Tait, Foreman of the Digital Advertising Jury at D&AD 2013: “It feels like a year in which the industry has really matured. The quality of entries this year is higher than I’ve ever seen it and I think this is down to the fact that technology platforms like YouTube and Twitter are so accessible and open up a variety of tools that anyone can pick from, from the more traditional agencies to the tech-forward. It will be exciting to see where we are in another 12 months.”

Tim Lindsay, Chief Executive of D&AD added: “It’s been an astonishing year for digital advertising entries as we can see from the sheer volume of work being recognised –  forty pieces of work  was awarded by the jury compared with twenty-two last year. The fact that so many of the campaigns – from iQ Streetview through to Bodyform Responds: The Truth – aren’t from the traditionally earned-media space shows that the industry is creating truly great work that people want to talk about, share and take part in.”
