Marketforce Perth senior team Murray Laird and Steve Lorimer to switch to The Brand Agency
Senior creative team Murray Laird and Steve Lorimer are leaving Marketforce to join The Brand Agency.
Says Garry Horner, ECD of The Brand Agency: “You can always judge an agency by the calibre of people walking through its doors every morning. The arrival of Murray and Steve, along with the rest of guys here, is testament to our commitment to producing evenbetter work for our strong list of clients. As well as being great guys to have around the place, there’s no question they will add significant creative firepower to the department.”
Horner added that their appointment was part of an overall plan to restructure the creative department, which also sees the pairing of creative director/art director Craig Buchanan and senior copywriter Mitch Mitchell. Mitchell’s previous art director, Danielle Glenister, recently left The Brand to join 303.
Says Laird and Lorimer: “Like many others, we had started to notice the great work coming out of The Brand soon after Garry arrived. The decision to leave our friends at Marketforce after so many years was very difficult, but the opportunity to face new challenges with a new team really excites us. The Brand has a great future ahead and we’re chuffed to be a part of it.”
The duo commences with The Brand Agency on August 24.

How many agencies are there in Perth? Two? Three?
Hey, it’s The Edge!
What on earth is that art director doing behind the split? He should be elbowing the DoP out of the way, looking through the camera and generally making a nuisance of himself, hanging around the dolly talking about how cool the Red is and what he has shot recently with his 5D. This is Perth, after all.
You’ll enjoy the ride with Gazza.
Pretentious photo.
How is it pretentious? FFS, it’s a photo of two guys working. It sure beats the uber cool poser shots most teams put up. Unless of course, the only ads you ever do are flyers for the local drycleaners…
Put your glasses on, Murray!
