MADC Presents: ‘This is it’ with M&C Saatchi ECD Emma Hill on Wed, Apr 17, The Taphouse, St Kilda

M&C Saatchi executive creative director Emma Hill will front the next MADC Presents event on Wednesday, April 17 at The Local Taphouse in St Kilda.

Just when you think this is it in advertising. It isn’t.

There are ‘This Is It’ moments you thought would be award winningly brilliant, but they aren’t. ‘This Is It’s’ that you think will define your career, but they don’t, and ‘This Is It’s’ that seem devastatingly ending, but they’re quite the opposite.

Originally delivered right before the winners were announced at the AWARD School Graduation in 2018, to help them understand their future careers didn’t hang on the results of that night, this talk is a reminder to all of us that our “it’s” aren’t always all they cracked up to be, and this advertising road trip we’re on is a long one. The bus is crowded, we can all get travel sick, and there’s only one toilet.

Hill will share her personal experiences and advice at this inspired MADC Presents event, relevant no matter stage of the road trip you’re on.

Prior to joining M&C Saatchi, Hill was the creative director and managing partner of The Shannon Company, and before that founder and creative director at The Charles Grenfell Group. She also held the role of group creative director at Clemenger BBDO, Melbourne from 2006 to 2011.

Hill’s work has been awarded widely at shows including Cannes (including the Radio Grand Prix), D&AD, Clio, The One Show, NY Festivals, AdFest and MADC.
