I know this blog is legendary for kicking the shit out of even pretty good work – but this is criminally, incomprehensibly bad. The lyrics, which apparently contain the proposition – are incomprehensible. So whatever the ad is trying to say to the consumer is lost – drowned in the mix.
But that’s hardly the biggest problem with this tired, cliched rubbish.
Wasn’t Quilton formerly the brand that ‘loved your bum’? However cringeworthy that may have been, at least it was a clear enough proposition and market position.
This is marketing irresponsibility on a massive scale – in all its spectacularly tired, big-production-musical cliched middle-of-the-roadness. To summarise in lay-speak: Weak as piss. A tragic waste of a client’s money and a blight upon the advertising industry. An April Fool joke..
How did this survive past the first thought?
Idea is average but thought the execution was good. No I am not the director.
i have no idea what they were singing.
Is this the queue for shit-canning?
Oh.
Ok.
I’ll wait…..
I don’t get it – just noise. What a waste of time, effort & $$$.
How does this stuff get out of the bin…
Written by a Gorilla. And that’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.
I don’t care what it’s advertising – that chick is a stunner.
